HALL OF FAME HISTORY
The Rome-Floyd Sports Hall of Fame was started in 1971 in order to recognize amateur and professional athletes and those who contribute to the growth and development of sports.
Each year, new members are added to the Sports Hall of Fame and inducted during an evening ceremony and banquet.
The evening is made complete by recognizing outstanding student athletes, thanking supporters and volunteers.
Nominations for the Rome-Floyd Sports Hall of Fame must be made by the general public and are received year-round
Nominees must meet all requirements to be eligible for consideration into the Rome-Floyd Sports Hall of Fame. The Sports Hall of Fame program is made possible by support from the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority, community sponsors and individual donors.
